War film 'Betuwe44' about an unknown part of Dutch WWII history

Due to corona measures, the recordings had to be stopped, but now it is finally here: the short film The Reconciliation. Made by AC Films in collaboration with Exodus Huissen and various re-enactment associations. The episode from the film Betuwe44 is about a true story between an allied and a German lieutenant in October 1944. The film can be seen from October 29, 2020 to January 12, 2021 in the Freedom Museum in Groesbeek. The above scenes are part of the feature film story that follows Johannes Crekel. Crekel is a local villager who has to get through this perilous time to try to save his family and the remains of his village. Does he realize that his fate will be based on his choice between justice and revenge? Will he be able to push the chaos aside and make the right choices?
